The Committee's report found that the Mayor faces a formidable challenge to achieve his targets:
- There are 2,313 electric vehicles currently in London, which is only two percent of the Mayor's goal of 100,000;
- There are around 400 charge points in the capital compared to his recent target of 1,300 by 2013 and the original target of 25,000 by 2015; and
- There are fewer than 50 electric vehicles in the Greater London Authority fleet compared to the Mayor's aim of 1,000 by 2015.
