The irony of Occupy and Barclays

Is it not a terrible irony that, on the day when Barclays were found to be blatantly flouting the UK's tax avoidance code to the tune of hundreds of millions of pounds, bailiffs and police cleared away the camp of those who have been providing a priceless public space for discussion about why the financial system no longer works and why bankers are not to be trusted?
