Spilling the beans at Climate Camp

This is me at Climate Camp on Blackheath where I was roped in to feeding hundreds of hungry eco activists. I’ve been to the last three Climate Camps – at Heathrow, at Kingsnorth coal-fired power station and now on Blackheath, within sight of the City of London, which has done so much to unbalance our economy and damage our environment.

This year’s camp was a peaceful affair – because the police took a softer approach than usual. Around 5,000 people went to the educational workshops on offer and a new generation was trained in direct action. I suspect some of you won’t agree with direct action. My view is that if the politicians won’t do what needs to be done, then what choice do we have?
