Germany pilots carbon storage and capture

Fascinating news from northern Germany where they are piloting Carbon Storage and Capture at a coal-fired power station. Trouble is it's only a tiny pilot and of little relevance in terms of understanding whether the technology would work on an industrial scale . A much bette experiment would have been to take a power station like Kingsnorth in Kent, to fit it with CCS from the start of its operations, and to close it, and all other coal-fired power stations, if the technology hasn't been made to work by 2020. But sadly this government doesn't have the balls to take that sort of risk.
