Budgens - Blazing a Trail on Plastic Bags

I’m delighted that Budgens on Haverstock Hill have begun a campaign to eliminate plastic bags. They’re donating 1p to charity every time a shopper brings in a reusable bag. In their Crouch End store they've nearly reached the stage where shoppers no longer ask for plastic bags because everyone is bringing in reusable bags. I hope, in due course, that we’ll be able to institute a Belsize-wide voluntary plastic bag ban.
