Greenpeace have come up with a great plan for thwarting the government and the British Airports Authority in their attempts to build a third runway at Heathrow. They have bought a large field on the site of the proposed runway and are now selling it off in tiny parcels of land. That will force BAA to negotiate with every owner and should help to spin out the process well past the next general election.
I'm still waiting for my plot, but Bridget Fox, the Lib Dem parliamentary candidate for Islington South has already got hers. Read here about how she's encouraging everyone she knows in Islington to get involved.
You can read more about the Greenpeace Airplot here.
Remember - if the third runway is built, there will be 50% more flights over Camden, Heathrow will break EU air quality limits and it will be virtually impossible for the UK to meet its carbon emissions reduction targets.
